When I make chicken and dumplings I make drop dumplings, using Bisquick or another brand. I follow the dumplings recipe on the box and the instructions for the cooking procedure. The dumplings are either still too doughy or some other problem. The dumplings should be cooked all the way through and with a thickened (gravy-like) broth.
I would appreciate any help re: the right way to cook dumplings.
