Cranberry Wine Punch
1 pound cranberries
1 quart boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 bottle dry red wine, chilled
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 block of ice
1 bottle chilled seltzer or club soda (about 28 ounces)
1. In medium saucepan cook cranberries in boiling water until berries pop.
2. Strain through fine sieve pressing outpulp. Return juice to saucepan; add sugar and stir mixture over low heat until sugar dissolves.
3. Chill cranberry juice.
4. At serving time, combine cranberry juice with red wine, orange juice concentrate and lemon juice in punch bowl. Add the block of ice and seltzer. Stir well and serve.
