I need to learn how to cook corn beef? Having not had it for some time, I thought it would be fun to learn to cook corn beef myself. Please share your recipe and methods for cooking corned beef.

Basic Corned Beef Cooking Tips

To cook prepared corned beef, place the beef in a large pot along with liquid and spices that came in the package.

Pour in enough water to cover the beef, then
bring the water to a boil on the stove top. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pot with a lid and let cook covered.

A 3 pound corned beef will need about three hours of slow cooking to become perfectly tender. While cooking the corned beef, check the meat occasionally, adding more water if necessary.

The beef is ready when it pulls apart easily.

Put the corned beef into a crock pot, add just enough water to cover meat and cook for 8 hours on low or 5 to 6 hours on high. After slow cooking the corned beef for so long, the meat will just fall apart and taste so delicious.

Cooked Corn Beef

I know of two ways to cook corn beef. You can cook corn beef brisket with cabbage or you can slow cook/barbecue the corn beef brisket over hot charcoals. Either way the brisket will take 4 to 6 hours of cooking.
