Yes, low fat smoothie recipes can be great tasting, delicious, and good for you to. Best of all you can whip up a low fat (almost no fat) smoothie shake in minutes using fresh or frozen fruits, along with some simple ingredients like milk, orange juice and ice cubes.

Strawberry Banana Breakfast Smoothie

ripe banana, peeled and sliced
4 plump strawberries
1/2 cups skim milk
1/2 cup apple juice

Add first banana, strawberries, mil and apple juices to clean blender. Turn on blender and blend well until desired consistency is reached. Pour into glass and drink immediately. This is one of my most favorite low fat smoothie recipes.

Banana Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

2 bananas, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup plain yogurt

For awesome results I recommend the follow. First peel and slice your bananas and place them in a bowl covered with a lid or plastic wrap. Place the bowl in the freezer and allow the bananas to freeze solid (this is something you can do the night before).

When you are ready to prepare your smoothie, remove frozen bananas from the freezer and place into a cleaned blender, add blueberries on top and then spoon in yogurt. Turn on blender and blend well until desired consistency is achieved. Pour into glass and drink immediately.

Honeydew and Watermelon Breakfast Smoothie

1-1/2 cups honeydew melon (seedless and chopped)
1-1/2 cups watermelon (seedless and chopped)
1 cup vanilla low fat yogurt
1 cup ice cubes
juice of 2 limes

To a clean blender add honeydew, watermelon, yogurt, ice and lime juice. Turn on blender, blending ingredients well until desired consistency is achieved. Pour into glass and drink immediately.
