Deb's Savory Spaghetti
Every cookout, or family gathering, the most requested dishes are my famous potato salad , and my succulent spaghetti. For years, I watched my father prepare his, and could never quite get mine to taste as savory as his. But here's mine:
Ingredients:
1 pound of spaghetti
1 pound ground chuck
1 red bell pepper
1 green pepper
2 stalks green onion
1 whole onion
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
2 jars Ragu garden combination
1 tsp sugar
salt , pepper, onion powder,
and garlic to your taste
half cup of ketchup
To prepare:
Brown ground beef and all veggies and seasonings in pan until brown. Prepare noodles, and remember to add a little oil or salt to water to keep noodles separate.
Drain beef mixture. Add tomato paste and Ragu to pan. Mix well and simmer.
Drain noodles and transfer both the beef mixture and noodles in larger pot. Mix by turning, not stirring. Add more ketchup if necessary.
Enjoy!!
