This recipe started out being prepared for a large family at gatherings (my husband's had 11 siblings). So I had to prepare something that was easy and could feed a large crowd and was not that expensive. The recipe has been passed down to almost everyone in the family but they always request that I prepare it because no one else's taste like mine. They have come close to preparing it like Auntie Pat's but for some reason mine always taste the best.
I just love the compliments I get from my taco salad. I usually double, triple, or even quadruple the recipe. It depends on the size of the crowd. But as they say no ones taco salad is like Auntie Pat's. I even get request for it for their birthdays, parties etc. Keep the recipe handy because they will be asking for a copy of the recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
